Ok so I got a tattoo in November. I printed it out and gave it to the guy.
Its the Japanese symbols for Noah. ( Japanese culture means something to me ) And well he decided on his own to make a paint brush mark go up instead of down. So he wrote the symbol wrong.
I need it fixed but have been busy. I called and told them about it the day after I got it done. But my question is …. are they going to charge me to fix it?? Even though it was not my fault?
Ok BottledG person.
I know what it means my step grandmother is Japanese she wrote it out for me. And I know all these things that you mentioned duh.
And not that it matters to you but like I said Japanese culture means something to me. I dont have to explain that to you. I know what it says I had someone who has lived in Japan 80% of their life write it for me. So screw you on talking crap about something that means something to me. How about respect someone’s feelings to something they have chosen to get tattooed. Dont criticize it.
Oh and one more thing maybe you cant read but it didnt take me 4 months to notice this mistake…..

if they are reputable they they shouldnt charge you, all touch ups for up to a year should be free… and that i would consider a touch up… or correction if you will… no artists wants you to go around telling everyone that their work is crap so im sure they will do it for you!
I think so.
Because you could be lying. (not saying you are)
But some people play games.
Im not 100% sure, but they probably will.
GOOD LUCK!
They might, I think usually in the contract you signed they aren’t liable for things you don’t like.
But since it was HIS mistake, he might just fix it for free. Most of the tattoo artist I know would do it for free.
Just go in and be polite and explain that HE made the mistake..
LOL… There was just an expose on the local news here of people getting Asian calligraphy tattoos. How do you know it’s the wrong symbol? Why did it take you 4 months to notice the error? Can you read it? Why would you want a tattoo on your body of something you don’t even understand? Japanese alphabet has no characters like American alphabet. And one single symbol can stand for an entire word with multiple meanings depending on pronunciation and inflection. Either get an expert to draw your tattoo, deal with wearing a mistake (that no one else will notice but you), or have it tattooed over with a flower or a tiger or something.
Where is it?
They should not. You brought in your image that you wanted to be tattooed, and it was altered without your approval.
Take the image back in and tell them that in must be fixed or the translation will not be correct, and more than likely it is gibberish.
They should not charge you for their mistake. Just be sure that you know what they are going to do, and that you approve of it, before you get anywhere near a needle and ink.
good luck~
