Why do I feel this way?

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

Well, when I was smaller,I loved anime, and japanese things(I am part and my mom introduced me to it.)I used to watch it with my father, and growing up,I learned a lot of things from the shows.(Honor,Meditation,etc.)When I was a teenager,I would love to go outside and sit in the backyard for hours on end listening to peaceful music, and drawing or painting,I felt a bond with nature, and it’s hard for me to explain what I mean. When my husband and I go to Japan to visit his family,I love to go into the woods and walk for hours and hours on end without getting scared or lost.Even thought I am with people,I feel excluded in my mind, not in a bad way,but a good way, like I am in my inner peace within myself,if that makes sense. Why is it that I feel this way? What is it called, and why do I love nature so much, why do I feel a bond with it?

Could someone please tell me what this dream means?

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

Okay, I had this dream last night. And I think God is trying to tell me something. Here’s how it goes.

It started out with me, looking for somewhere to make my home. I traveled the world, looking for somewhere to call home. I went to lots of familiar places, like Melbourne (Australia) and Washington DC, and even Tokyo, Japan. But then I went to this place I had never seen nor heard of before. It had brick-paved streets, and old, strong buildings. And there was this one, huge church, like a cathedral. And someone was talking to me while sitting on the steps of the church. I don’t remember what he/she was saying. I remember these guards walking by in beautiful uniform, carrying different flags of different nations. Some were carrying Swiss flags, other carrying all different flags. I can’t recall them all. Also, on one of buildings, there was a painting of this really big fish. Then, I remember walking into the cathedral, while brushing my hair. Then, the dream ended.

Any thoughts?

What can I do/where can I go to get out of the house more ofen?

I’m 17, home schooled, live in alaska and most of my friends have moved out of state so since I’m home schooled I usually stay at home a lot. I spend most of my time on the computer, watching anime or playing video games especially since all the friends I have that haven’t moved love the things I hate and hate the things I love and go out of their way to hate anything do do with things like anime/video games and are a little close minded wile I like to keep an open mind about almost anything so we don’t get along all the time so we don’t hang out too much and since I’m home schooled it’s not like I can make new friends at school.

I would like to know if there’s any kind of group or club type thing in alaska that I might like.
To give you some ideas here are some of the things I like most. ^_^
Cats (My favorite thing! I’m a cat lover. X3)
Anime/Manga
Video games
Electronics/Technology (like computers, game consoles, cell phones, ipods and other stuff like that.)
Drawing (I LOVE to draw but I suck so much at it. T_T)
Art (painting, coloring, pottery, drawing, crafts, sewing, etc. I love all kinds of art and artistic stuff but drawing is definitely my favorite. ^_^)
Japan/Japanese culture
Traveling (Although I never get to. *sigh*)

Here’s a list of things I don’t like in case it might help. lol
Cat haters (I don’t hate dogs btw but they usually hate me. How could anyone hate a cute adorable kitty?)
Close minded people (Their opinion is their opinion but would it kill them to try something before they decide if the do/don’t like something…)
Reading (Manga is an exception.)
Sports (I’m very small for my age so I’d get killed lol and I’m lazy. Plus sports are boring. But I do like things like martial arts or just taking a walk.)
Loud noises (I don’t like being around loud noises. They’re just annoying.)

I don’t know of any and I’ve looked on the internet for groups/clubs in alaska but couldn’t find any so I figured I’d see if anyone here would know any or could find one.
Also I don’t really like being out doors too much like camping and other stuff like that. Not for me.

Be Attentive To The Wording — Does It Give Cause For Concern That So Many People Worldwide Call Obama The…?

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Does it give cause for concern that so many people worldwide call Obama the ‘messiah’, or ’savior’ ??

Let’s start about 1 year ago . an artist in Chicago I believe, created a painting depicting Obama with a halo over his head and titled the painting something like ’savior’ or ‘messiah’ . Throngs of people came to view this work and when interviewed several said that Obama could be the ’savior’ .

Recent Australian news stories indicate that many there are calling him ‘messiah’ .

Othe recent news stories out of Japan and Venezuela indicate that many there see him as the ’savior’ .. . . . BTW , I’d appreciate if you could add any other foreign news stories from other countries that show the same results .

At the New Hampshire Primaries people were not only holding up their babies for Obama to kiss (a perennial political move) but were also asking him to BLESS their babies .

‘Be attentive to the wording’ – Cause For Concern ?
Cause for concern or should we just ignore what’s in front of our eyes ?
ashes to Ashes – The Chicago painter story is easily googled . It was on nearly every network and internet news source .
The Austalian news story was a Yahoo news story only days ago .
The Japanese and Venezuelan news stories were on network news this morning . And you say you pay attention ?

Help! I need advice on my major/minor choice. I am a second semester sophomore, and I am so terribly confused?

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Please help me! Advice from anyone would help me greatly! I am currently a 2nd semester sophomore at a university college. My major is Studio art, and my minor is left undeclared. And I don’t think I am headed in the right direction. I know it is late in the game, but I am struggling, struggling to come up with a set major, minor, and my life job after college. Please help.
I love art, preferably drawing anime/cartoon characters, sketching, painting. I came into college as an art major right away, unsure of what else I wanted to do. I am a hard worker, but get below average grades. Japanese culture intrigues me and I am taking the language class in college, and I want to study abroad next year to Japan. I like music. 10th year on the clarinet, and I recently picked up the flute, guitar, and bassoon. I’ve never been really good in high school at any other classes except Spanish, music, and art. I like anime, tennis, reading. I’ve met an international student from Japan this past year and he used to be a art major as well, until he changed his major to Global Studies.
Any suggestions??? I would be eternally grateful!
